How MOQ works

1. Why does MOQ exist?

   Every production run includes fixed steps such as preparing the batch, setting up the filling line and applying labels. At very small quantities these steps raise the unit cost disproportionately; MOQ balances that.

2. Is MOQ per product or in total?

   Always ask whether the MOQ applies per product or to the whole order. In Autocher's low-volume programme the minimum order is 100 units per product.

3. Standard products make low volumes possible

   With a ready formula, a standard label layout and standard packaging, only your logo and brand name are added, which is what makes starting with small quantities practical.

4. Customisation can affect MOQ

   A custom formula, scent, colour or different pack usually needs extra preparation and can mean a higher quantity or a separate quote. At Autocher these options are handled in the standard private label programme by quotation.

5. Think about lead time and cash together

   Ask about lead time along with MOQ. In Autocher's low-volume programme it is 15–20 business days from receiving your logo and brand name.

6. Raise quantities as you grow

   Watching sales on the first batch and raising the quantity per product on later orders reduces stock risk.

• When comparing MOQs, ask in the same way whether they are per product, per pack size or total.
• The lowest quantity is not always the best unit cost; ask for price tiers.
• Different pack sizes of the same product may have separate MOQs; clarify this in the quote.
• Confirm MOQ, lead time and label scope together in a written quote.
